Safety Light Curtains
A safety light curtain is a safety device that uses a sensor to prevent intrusion into the danger zone of machinery. In contrast to an area sensor, these products are certified as safety devices based on international standards. A safety light curtain is a single unit comprised of projectors and receivers. When all the multiple light beams sent by the projectors are received by the receivers, the condition is judged to be safe and machine operation is allowed. When an object or person enters the zone and blocks any of the light beams, the operation is stopped. In a location without a machine door or standard fence, install in a position where there will be enough time after the blocked light beam is detected to stop the machine before the person or object contacts anything dangerous. Select the appropriate safety light curtain according to the light beam pitch. Also, mounting brackets and different cable lengths are available as accessories.
