Sheet metal scissors are scissors for cutting thin metal plates. The blade must have sufficient hardness and tenacity for cutting metal, and the material used is carbon steel, stainless steel, molybdenum steel, etc. The cutting ability varies depending on the product, and some products are suitable for cutting aluminum and tin plates, and some can cut stainless steel. The compound lever type product opens and closes the scissors by the force of the spring, but the single lever type product does not have a spring, so skill is required to handle it. The shape of the tips of the scissors is often devised, such as being bent to make it easier to cut, and some of those use serrated blades so that the object does not escape during cutting. The type with an anti-slip resin grip makes it easy to work even with work gloves.
