This product is equipped with a
built-in thermal protector (self-reset type).

If the motor overheats for any reason, the protector will automatically activate and stop the motor.
Once the motor temperature decreases, it will automatically reset and restart.
Always ensure the power is turned off before performing any inspection or maintenance work.

110V specification, please refer to the actual motor nameplate for the correct capacitor rating.

○ Allowable Torque When a Gearhead Is Mounted
- Please purchase gearheads and mid-gearheads either by specifying additional machining for the motor or from the standalone product page (AC Motor Gearhead EA Series).
- When the additional machining code GH is specified, the gear ratio is entered in the box (□) within the model number.
- Combinations shown in the yellow cells ( )indicate that the output rotation direction is opposite to that of the motor. All other combinations have the same rotation direction.
- The rotational speed is a reference value calculated by dividing the motor’s synchronous speed (50 Hz: 1500 r/min, 60 Hz: 1800 r/min) by the gear ratio.
- The actual rotational speed decreases by approximately 2–20% from the listed value depending on the load.
- If a greater gear ratio than those listed in the table is required, please add a mid-gearhead with a gear ratio of 10 between the motor and the gearhead.
In this case, the allowable torque is 20 N·m.

Product Features
1. Structure and Operating Principle
This product uses a
power-off activated type brake.
When voltage is applied to the coil, the armature—previously pressed by a spring—is magnetized and released from the brake rim, allowing the motor to rotate.
Conversely, when the voltage is removed, the spring force pushes the armature against the brake rim, generating frictional force that brakes the motor and brings it to a stop.
2. Features
① Immediately brakes and holds the load when power is cut (Holding torque:
0.05–2.0 N·m).
② Suitable for use as a safety brake in the event of sudden power failure.
③ Designed to withstand frequent forward/reverse operations; the brake can perform up to
6 stopping operations per minute, with a required
minimum interval of 3 seconds between each stop.
④ A commutating loop is built into the brake, allowing operation from the same power source as the motor.

The listed values are reference values and may vary depending on operating conditions.
During actual operation, ensure that the motor surface temperature remains
below 90°C.
3. Operating Time and Conditions

Starting time: The sum of the motor starting time and the electric brake release time.

Braking time: The time required for the motor to come to a complete stop after power is cut.
