| ■Tightening Procedure of Fittings | ||
 | (1) Insert the pipe into the fitting until the pipe tip contacts the shoulder inside without removing the nut. (2) Hand-tighten the nut until it stops turning. Mark this position as the ○ point. (3) Secure the fitting body tightly with a wrench and tighten the nut with another wrench by the number of turns shown on the right. CAUTION: For plastic tube connections, be sure to use a tube insert (SKITK) and tighten φ4 to φ12.7 tubes by 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 rotations. | φ4 Type φ6 to φ12.7 Type  |
| ■How to Tighten after Removing | ||
 | (1) Be sure to confirm the position of the nut before loosening and removing it. (Standard tightening position) Make sure that front ferrule is installed in the correct position. Make sure that there are no foreign objects on the tapered surface, front and rear of the body before reinstallation. (2) Insert all the way until the front ferrule fully contacts the tapered seat surface of the body, tthen hand-tighten the nut. (Insert carefully to avoid the tapered part on the main body being scratched by the pipe end.) (3) Using a wrench, tighten slightly past the position before loosening. | Position before tightening the nut Retightened position  |
