Ring Gauges

A ring gauge is a ring-shaped gauge that is precisely finished with a certain inner diameter dimension tolerance, and is a durable and precise measuring instrument used to measure circular objects such as screw diameters. The master ring gauge, which is the standard of the measuring instrument, has the measured value and preliminary dimensions. The material is alloy tool steel SKS3 and ceramic, etc. The advantage of ceramics is that they are less likely to wear than steels, and that errors in measuring is unlikely to appear even after long-term use. The master ring gauge is also called a set ring or setting ring, and is used for zero point alignment before measuring with an inner diameter measuring tool. The limit ring gauge is a ring gauge for measuring cylindrical objects such as the shaft part of spline shafts. Since the inspection is done by the "limit" method of passing and stopping, for the tolerance of the axis or outer width to be inspected, make the passing side based on the maximum value and make the stopping side based on the minimum tolerance value.
