Drafts
Drafts are localized exhaust devices used in labs and research venues. They are also called draft chambers or fume hoods. When handling substances that generate harmful gas, odor, vapor and the like, diffusion in the room can be prevented by surrounding the source. There are types with exhaust functions and types that have activated charcoal integrated into the filter, and they can efficiently remove gaseous substances. Doors use transparent glass for easy confirmation of the interior, and they can be slid up and down to open and close. Some devices employ a balance weight format where they stop at an arbitrary position. Stainless steel with high strength and rigid resin with excellent chemical resistance is used for the interior, and they can be selected accordion to the type of source. There are also benchtop types with casters for easy movement and special drafts compatible with dust and the like.
