Emergency stop switches and safety switches are buttons and switches that operate the emergency stop systems for machinery in factories, etc. They include push-button emergency stop switches, foot-operated emergency stop switches, rope-type emergency stop switches, and more. The enclosures are often made with strong materials with excellent environmental resistance, such as filler-reinforced PA6 resin, and often feature a double-insulated construction that does not require earth wiring. Emergency stop and safety switches are usually used in dangerous situations. If the switch does not function properly, that may result in accidents and disasters. For this reason, switch construction and applications must meet internationally recognized standards.
