PLC (Input/Output Units)

PLCs (Input/Output Units), formally called "programmable logic controllers," are components used as an interface between devices and sequencers. They work by controlling the on/off switching of the output device using a preset program that operates in response to the on/off switching of switches and sensors. They were initially developed as an alternative to relay circuits and are used in controls for boilers, pumps, automated machinery that operate inside factories, and more. PLCs are broadly divided into 2 types, modular type and packaged type. Modular types require input components and standalone units to be combined and allow for more freedom of customization. Packaged types are totally pre-assembled to offer an inexpensive installation solution.

Digital input unit that is available in many variations, from high-speed types that enable high-speed synchronization control to general-purpose types

· Can be mounted on an EtherCAT coupler to enable high-speed I/O refreshing
· Enables I/O refreshing synchronized with the controller control period (synchronous refresh)
· Using this unit in combination with an NX Series CPU Unit or EtherCAT Coupler Unit, an NX unit that uses a time-stamping input method,
and an NX unit that uses a time-specific output method enables highly precise I/O control that does not depend on the
controller's control period
· The use of a removable terminal block improves system maintainability
· The Push-In Plus terminal block (screwless clamp terminal block) and connector type (MIL connector / Fujitsu connector)
greatly reduce the time required for wiring work
· A unit width of only 12 mm realizes space saving (connector type 30 mm)
· 4-, 8-, 16- and 32-input-contact types are available, enabling the I/O configuration that best suits your equipment
· Connect to the CJ Series using the EtherNet/IP coupler
