By combining a cabinet and a chest into a single unit, any excess structures are rendered unnecessary, and volume efficiency is drastically improved. The top drawer is easy to access thanks to its overall height; a value which was calculated using the average height of Japanese men and women. The top portion of the main body has a unique trapezoidal form. Since the drawers open like in a tiered stand, all the stored items can be seen at a glance. In order to prevent the cabinet from tipping over, the center of gravity for drawer tiers 1 through 3 is towards the back. The drawers for tiers 4 through 8 employ a safety lock mechanism that only allows 1 drawer to be opened at a time.
