  ACE alumina porcelain (standard). Alumina purity: >97%. Level of (purity) acid/alkali/corrosion/etc. resistance varies depending on usage conditions/environment, but it can be used at around 1,500°C.

  Precautions when using an alumina porcelain material saggar have been listed below. Please be sure to read them. (1) During use, please ensure a heating speed which is as gentle as you can achieve, and avoid any sudden temperature rise. Also, depending on the maximum operating temperature, retention time, heating speed, substances which get hot or melt, metals, glass, and so on, a safe operating temperature cannot be specified. Please decide on a safe operating temperature and rise speed in every kind of experiment at the location where the persons in charge of the experiments will be using it. (2) There is a risk of damage if an alumina crucible, saggar, Tammann tube or the like, is suddenly introduced into an electric oven, or another such oven, which has been kept at a high temperature. Please heat slowly. (3) Since the coefficient of thermal expansion of alumina porcelain is greater than that of a porcelain crucible, when heating or introducing into an oven, please take exhaustive care. (4) Please select the material to use for the crucible and saggar according to the experimental materials. For experiments which cannot tolerate contamination or reactions, please use materials of high purity.
