D-Sub Connector (Ribbon Cable IDC Termination, Low-Profile), FDD Series (Part Numbers)
A ribbon/cable crimp connection type D-sub connector. Low height on the wiring side helps save space within the set.
[Features]
• Metal shell makes it compact and sturdy.
• Connectors can be mounted on the chassis, or on the front or back sides of the panel.
• Height of the wiring side is greatly reduced to facilitate more compact sets.
· The structure uses a piece of metal to secure the ribbon cable holding plate and is thus able to provide a strong securing force to secure the cable reliably.
• Standard 1.27 mm-pitch ribbon cable can also be pressure-contact connected by replacing the tool when the pitch is something other than the 1.38-mm pitch of the D-sub. (Note that in such cases, a tool that slits cable will be needed.)
• Discrete cables can also be pressure-contact connected by using a multi-core cable pressure-contact device.
