・ Uses gold-plated connector shells and pins that are resistant to rust and have less signal deterioration over time
・ High-speed serial interface standard
・ Up to 63 devices can be daisy-chained or tree-connected, and there are 4 transfer rate: 100 Mbps (S100), 200 Mbps (S200), 400 Mbps (S400), 800 Mbps (S800 / IEEE1394b)
・ The nickname of IEEE1394 is "FireWire," which is the name that was originally used when development was underway under the initiative of Apple Inc.
・ The standard that Sony calls "i.LINK" is also IEEE1394
