- Answer: The transmission efficiency is almost 100%. However, the motor shaft is loaded by the tension of the belt when it is installed. This causes a loss of power, and the transmission efficiency may fall below 100%.
- Question: What is the life span of a timing belt and when should it be replaced?
- Answer: It depends on the usage conditions. If the belt is cracked or damaged, replace it immediately. To minimize downtime, especially on important machinery, regularly check the belt for cracks and damage and replace it before it breaks.
- Question: Can I use it in a clean room?
- Answer: No, it cannot be used it in clean room basically because rubber timing belts generate dust even if they are bareback, which means less dust. With urethane timing belts, dust generation is less noticeable, but they still generate dust just like rubber timing belts. If you use it in a clean room, please take measures such as installing a cover around the belt.
