Frequently asked question (FAQ)

Question: Is it possible to transmit sufficient torque by using clamp method for fastening to the shaft?
Answer: As our torque transmission tests use an adequate safety coefficient, the fastened part will not slip due to the fastening method at the allowable torque in the catalog. Key grooving of the clamp hub is available; please refer to the key groove modification options as you desired.
Question: Noise and vibration were generated while using the metal sheet spring coupling. What countermeasures are available?
Answer: For servo motors, noise and vibration can be suppressed by setting a mechanical resonance control filter in the control system to the fixed frequency. For stepper motors, shift the operating RPM or absorb/control vibration with a step flex coupling with high damping effects.
