Product Overview
| Motor Type | Type | Applications | Features | Notes | Output Range | Motor | Controller |
|---|
| Parallel | Right Angle |
|---|
| Induction Motor | EA-IMA EA-IMB | 【Constant-speed continuous operation】 (24-hour use such as fans, pumps, mixers, conveyors with minimal load fluctuation) | Simple and robust structure. Three-phase types provide high efficiency and good starting characteristics single-phase types offer easy wiring. | Not suitable for large acceleration/deceleration or frequent forward/reverse cycles. | 6~200W | LINK | LINK | - |
| Reversible Motor | EA-RM | 【Frequent forward/reverse operation】 positioning, reciprocating motion, pushing applications | Excellent reversing response, minimizing overrun | Generates a lot of heat, so it has a short-time rating (ex. 30 minutes) | 6~120W | LINK | LINK | - |
| Brake Motor | EA-BM | 【Holding / maintaining stop】 lifting, vertical transport, safety stop | Stops and holds immediately when power is turned off, and maintains position even during power failure | Limitations apply regarding stop frequency and temperature environment | 6~200W | LINK | LINK | - |
| Speed Control Motor | EA-AM | 【Speed control】 flow control, tension control, synchronous feeding, frequent setup changes | Controller-integrated design for easy wiring with a wide adjustable speed range | Risk of overheating during ultra-low-speed continuous operation | 6~200W | LINK | LINK | LINK |
| Reversible Speed Control Motor | EA-ARM | 【Speed control + reverse】 positioning, reciprocating motion, pushing applications requiring adjustable speed | Combines speed control and reversing capability in a single unit. | Duty cycle and thermal limits must be considered in continuous use. | 25~120W | * | * | LINK |
| Brake Speed Control Motor | EA-ABM | 【Speed control +Brake】 vertical transport, lifting requiring speed adjustment and position holding | Allows speed adjustment while maintaining safe and stable stopping performance. | Not suitable for continuous operation under heavy braking conditions. | 25~200W | * | * | LINK |
| Torque Motor | EA-TM | 【Tension Control】 Winding, feeding, and pressing applications that require maintaining constant tension or pressure. | Maintains high torque even at low or near-stopped speeds | Generates significant heat → ensure operation within continuous torque rating and provide cooling | 3~20W | LINK | - | - |
*: Scheduled to be released after web production in March 26th

The rated torque and starting torque values of reversible motors are based on models
without a built-in friction brake.

All safety certifications are obtained based on the model number indicated on the motor nameplate.

This product is equipped with an
internal thermal protector (self-reset type).
When the motor overheats, the protector operates automatically and stops the motor to prevent damage.

Once the motor temperature has sufficiently decreased, it will automatically reset and restart.
For inspection or servicing, always ensure the power is turned off beforehand.

For “-A” models with a
110V specification, please refer to the actual motor nameplate for the correct capacitor rating.
■ Gearhead (Available as an additional machining option)※ Additional machining can be specified
only when selecting shaft types GN or GU.

○ Allowable Torque When a Gearhead Is Mounted
- Please purchase gearheads and mid-gearheads either by specifying additional machining for the motor or from the standalone product page (AC Motor Gearhead EA Series).
- When the additional machining code GH is specified, the gear ratio is entered in the box (□) within the model number.
- Combinations shown in the yellow cells ( )indicate that the output rotation direction is opposite to that of the motor. All other combinations have the same rotation direction.
- The rotational speed is a reference value calculated by dividing the motor’s synchronous speed (50 Hz: 1500 r/min, 60 Hz: 1800 r/min) by the gear ratio.
- The actual rotational speed decreases by approximately 2–20% from the listed value depending on the load.
- If a greater gear ratio than those listed in the table is required, please add a mid-gearhead with a gear ratio of 10 between the motor and the gearhead.
In this case, the allowable torque is 20 N·m.

| Spec. | You can purchase a gearhead set that matches the motor size and gear type. Please check the gearhead specification table to confirm the available gear ratios based on the motor flange number.
[ ! ] Available gear ratios: for flange □42 → 1/3 to 1/60, others → 1/3 to 1/200. [Designation method] Gear ratio 1/30 → GH30 | You can purchase a mid-gear set that matches the motor size. When combined with a gearhead, a greater gear ratio can be achieved.
[ ! ] Only a gear ratio of 1/10 is available. [Designation method] GN10X |

Product Features
1. Basic Structure and Operating Concept
A reversible motor is equipped with a friction brake on the rear side of the motor body and is designed for applications requiring frequent forward/reverse switching.
A spring-loaded damper constantly applies pressure to the rotating brake disc, maintaining a consistent level of friction at all times.
The primary functions of the friction brake are as follows:① Improving instantaneous forward/reverse performance through frictional load
② Reducing overrun
③ Maintaining a constant holding torque
(approximately 10% of the rated torque)2. Holding Torque and Overrun Values of the Friction Brake①Please refer to the specification table for holding torque and overrun values.
②These values may vary depending on operating conditions such as duration of rotation and ambient temperature.
③During initial operation, the actual torque may be slightly lower than the listed values, so caution is required.
3. Motor CharacteristicsReversible motors use a capacitor-start system similar to induction motors and exhibit nearly identical torque characteristics.
However, to enhance instantaneous forward/reverse switching performance, the starting torque is designed to be higher than that of standard induction motors.
