Product Overview
The cross roller stage is a stage that incorporates a cross roller guide between surfaces that have been ground to high precision.
Because the cross roller guide uses cylindrical rollers arranged alternately at right angles within two 90-degree V-groove rails, its unique arrangement allows the stage to withstand moment loads from any direction. Therefore, it is especially suitable for linear guidance in applications requiring high rigidity and smooth movement.

There is a risk of rust during installation and use. Please be sure to take anti-rust measures.
Terminology Explanation■ Stroke
As shown in the figure below, the stroke is symmetrical left and right, and the moving distance is only half of the stroke.

■ Allowable Moment
Relative to the direction of movement, there are three types of tilt during linear motion. MA: Vertical swing, i.e., forward and backward tilt direction MB: Lateral swing, i.e., rotational direction MC: Side rolling, i.e., left and right tilt direction | |
■ Accuracy

A: Parallelism at the center of the slide table (µm)
B: Parallelism at the side (µm)
Product Features
Feature 1: Flexible structural design, easy installation and use, and long service life.
Feature 2: Low mechanical energy consumption, high precision, fast speed, and large load capacity.
Feature 3: Low rolling friction, ideal for micro-feeding. Small variation in friction under light loads, excellent low-speed stability.
Feature 4: Large contact area between rolling elements and track surface, minimal elastic deformation. With more effective rolling elements, high rigidity and high load movement can be achieved.
Precautions
1. The crossed roller stage has low impact resistance. Dropping it or applying excessive force may cause abnormal sliding. Please exercise caution during use.
2. The screws on the end face of the guide rail are only for preventing the retainer from falling off and cannot be used as a stopper mechanism. If a stopper function is required, please design a dedicated stopper mechanism.
3. Prevent retainer displacement. When used at half stroke or at high speed, the retainer may shift due to inertia when the slide table stops. It is recommended to perform several full-stroke movements during use to position the retainer in the center of the slide rail.
(4) Please apply lubricant as appropriate according to actual operating conditions and environment. The typical lubrication interval is every 6 months or 1000 km. For longer travel distances, the interval should be 3 months; for shorter travel distances, follow the standard interval. If the travel distance exceeds 1000 km within the specified period, use 1000 km as the standard interval.
Depending on the operating environment, if the grease becomes aged or heavily contaminated, the lubrication interval must be appropriately shortened.
Example of Use
A crossed roller stage is a stage formed by installing two pairs of crossed roller guides between the base and the stage surface.
Due to its simple structure, it offers a longer stroke for the same length compared to miniature linear guides, making its range of applications even broader.
It is often used in die bonding machines, dispensing equipment, automation equipment, measuring instruments, precision machinery, optical testers, optical workbenches, manipulation mechanisms, printed circuit board drilling machines, CT examination tables, X-ray machines and other medical devices, OA equipment and peripheral devices, X-ray apparatus slide sections, and sample handling systems in inspection equipment, among others.
