Economical Pillow Block Bearing Stamped Type Diamond Flange Pillow Block Bearing
Pillow block bearings (hereinafter referred to as bearing units) are assembly products consisting of grease-sealed deep groove ball bearings combined with various shapes of bearing housings. The bearing unit can be directly mounted onto the main body of machinery or equipment with several bolts. It features self-aligning capability, allows for grease replenishment, and is a product that is very easy to install and use. At the same time, the base adopts a stamped steel plate structure, offering excellent cost performance.

Usage Method
Installation Steps
1. Slide the bearing onto the shaft and move it to the specified position.
2. Align the mounting base (two steel plates) with the bearing and secure it to the machine with bolts. (After installation, the bearing is also fixed.)
3. After positioning the shaft, tighten the set screws to fix the shaft in place.

Bearing Life
When bearing units are installed and operated in machinery or equipment, even under suitable conditions, after a certain period of time, issues such as increased vibration, noise, or overheating of the bearing unit may sometimes occur. The period during which the bearing unit can no longer be used due to such reasons is called the service life of the bearing unit.
The service life of the bearing unit includes two types: one is the fatigue life, when the bearing can no longer be used due to material fatigue, and the other is the grease life, when it can no longer be used due to deterioration of the grease and poor lubrication. These can be determined separately as the bearing's rated life and the grease life.
The service life of the bearing unit is determined by whichever is shorter: the bearing's rated life or the grease life. By properly supplying lubricant, the grease life can be extended to match the bearing's rated life. When a mounted bearing is used without additional lubrication, its service life is the shorter of the bearing's rated life or the grease life.
However, when the bearing unit is installed and operated in machinery or equipment, failures may sometimes occur due to reasons other than the bearing's rated life or grease life (such as wear, indentation, fracture, or burning). These issues can be avoided by carefully considering the selection, use, installation, and lubrication of the bearing unit.
