[Features]·You can choose standard, low-profile, or ultra-low profile types. ·An electromagnetic holder with a coil around the attraction part of the main body. (Polarity optional) · Use in gripping parts of industrial robots, etc., and for vacuum and transportation of small workpieces. ·Electrical control can be applied to turn on/off the magnetic force and its remote control. ·A rectifier is required as a power supply. Select a rectifier with the corresponding voltage. (Compatible rectifier: MGEC)

Regardless of connecting to positive or negative, the attraction force of the white and black lead wires remains the same.
[!] For the white wire (+) and black wire (-), the attraction side is the N pole. In the opposite case, it will be the S pole.
[!] Type: Since both wires of the SMGES are gray, polarity cannot be identified by the wire color.
If the polarity of the attraction surface differs from your preference, please use the product after switching the wires.
(Example: When the adsorption surface is the N pole and needs to be changed to the S pole, switch the wires.

Specifications/Overview

Features, Operating Conditions and Precautions for Use for Electromagnet Holders
■ Features
● Can be used on end effectors of robots to carry small workpieces.
● Electrical control can be utilized for turning ON / OFF and remote controlling of the magnet.
● For power supply, a rectifier is necessary. Select a rectifier for relevant voltage.
　(Applicable Rectifier: MGEC)
■Condition of Use
● Installation Location: Indoors (Ambient Temperature: -10 to 40°C)
● Surface conditions of attracted object: Flat (With no protrusions or holes)
　* Use entire holder surface for attraction.
● Duty Ratio: Continuous (100%ED)
■ Precautions for Use
● Attraction force of electromagnet holder may decrease considerably depending on condition of use.
  • (1) Plate Thickness: Attraction force decreases as plate thickness decreases.
  • (2) Gap: Attraction force decreases as gap increases between the attraction side of magnet and the object.
  • (3) Material: Attraction force shown is based on SS400.
  • (4) Surface of attracted object: Attraction force decreases as the object surface is rougher.
  • (5) Coil Heating: Attraction force decreases as the excited electromagnet coil temperature rises. Decrease rate is 10 to 20% (approx.).
● Maximum attraction force represents the force of picking up the mating material made of SS400 (polished surface, 50 mm thick plate).
● There will be some residual magnetism after the power is turned OFF.

If the workpiece is still stuck to the attraction surface due to residual magnetism
even after the holder is turned off, the spring force separates the workpiece
from the attraction surface.
