MISUMI

roller with a bearing that can be selected from various resins and hardnesses. There are two types of shapes: straight type and crown type.
The material of the core metal can be selected from steel (equivalent to S45C), stainless steel (SUS304), and aluminum (aluminum alloy).
For the lining, you can specify urethane (natural color), antistatic urethane (gray), silicone rubber (light gray), heat-resistant urethane (reddish brown), or NBR (black).
Shore hardness can be selected from Shore A50 to Shore A95. Please check the outline drawing and specification table for availability.
A90/95 is ether urethane, A50/A70 is ester urethane.
It is possible to specify dimensions in 1mm increments for the L specification type, but the length that can be specified for the L dimension selection type cannot be selected.
Additional machining (MC) allows tapping holes to be machined at two locations on the outside diameter. In addition, (UDC) allows you to change the urethane to antistatic urethane.
The bearing material can be changed to stainless steel type with additional machining (SB). Please refer to the specification table for the range of dimensions that can be specified.

Product Feature Details

Feature 1: The urethane, silicone rubber, and NBR rubber layers are baked directly onto the outer periphery of the core material, making them difficult to fall off.
Feature 2: Urethane is widely used to prevent scratching and cracking during the transportation of glass and acrylic because of its superior material strength. 
Feature 3: Urethane is less likely to transmit vibration and sound.
Feature 4: Urethane is a low-dusting, carbon-free material that resists color migration. * Natural color only
Feature 5: Rubber can prevent scratches and cracks. The impact portion provides excellent vibration and antivibration buffering and damping.
Feature 6: Silicone rubber is a material with high heat resistance and excellent insulation properties. It can be used in highly safe products such as medical, food, and electronic equipment that require heat resistance. 
Feature 7: NBR is a material suitable for oil resistance, relatively inexpensive and widely used.
Feature 8: NBR has excellent chemical resistance and excellent processing performance.

Cautions/Prohibitions

  • The color of the materials may vary depending on the actual product. Urethane will turn yellow over time, but its properties remain the same. 
  • Discoloration of Urethane 
     Urethane darkens in color as it absorbs ultraviolet rays or is exposed to light. This phenomenon is called yellowing. It does not affect the properties of the product, so please be fully aware of this when using the product.

  • Hydrolysis properties of urethane
     If this product is used in a humid environment for a long time, the urethane will hydrolyze and deteriorate. It is recommend to use the product in a low humidity area to extend the service life.
  • Changes in product condition after hydrolysis
  • The urethane surface is sticky.
  • Even digging nails lightly into it will leave irreversible scars
  • Decrease in urethane hardness

  • Dimensional change of urethane
     The dimensions of the urethane will change slightly depending on the ambient temperature but can be restored to the original dimensions by placing it at room temperature for a few hours.
